In Part 1 we talked about methods that involved doing a lot of research of some sort such as scanning and analyzing. This is probably the best logical way to come up with consistent ideas for most people.

In Part 1 we talked about methods that involved doing a lot of research of some sort such as scanning and analyzing. This is probably the best logical way to come up with consistent ideas for most people.

This time around we will be approaching creativity like you may never have done before..or you may have done something similar but for some reason I highly doubt it..

True Creativity is not about

simply doing things differently than the rest of the crowd..

or doing lots of research..but..

Its to use a higher power + Genius Deep Deep inside of you that is uncontrollably monstrously creatively innovative.

(OK that sounded weird)

Here are a number of ways to help you approach your projects or whatever in your pure genius mode.

Reach deep deep down into your introverted self.

I am surprised to find that 90% of the people I meet don’t know what the word introverted means.

In a nutshell, introverted people’s world is mostly inside their minds. Opposite is Extroverted people..they like to play sports and do socializing groupy stuff.

Just Imagine this. We do a lot of research digitally and physically..Like Google, Wikipedia, Art Studios, Research Labs and the library.

Question: Have you ever done research within your own brain?

By that I mean using your imagination to take you to places that don’t exist..and looking deep at what goes on there. Also known as Abstract Research . A term I just made up.

It may seem random at times but there are also bursts of energy in every thought..it triggers off new possibility of ideas and new worlds that exists beyond universes.

Being a creative genius means to value every thought

I’m gonna be frank. I don’t like to read books that are longer then 100 pages. But I do love to use my imagination which generates new worlds and ideas. I personally think our brains aren’t just there to only soak up knowledge but to generate knowledge on its own through imagination.

After all Mr Einstein has said..

“Imagination is more important than Knowledge.” – Albert Einstein

To be truly rebelliously creative you must step outside your self.

In part 1 I mentioned the following..

Trust your intuition and go with it. Don’t ever follow the crowd. There is a undeniable link between the creator and the creation. It really reflects who we are.

Its true..You shouldn’t ever follow the crowd. Yes, You should trust your intuition…but you must also fight against your own natural human self. For out of all the enemies in the world..you can become your own greatest enemy

Why do we have to act like a human? why? Humans are imperfect right? So why do we always act like one? I guess its because we’ve always treated each other like one.

There is a certain scene in the movie called ‘ Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian’ where they come back to this magical land of Narnia and expect the animals to be friendly but to their surprise they found out that they all turned wild!

I can’t remember exactly but one character says something like ” If you treat them like a wild animal long enough..they become one”.

And this is my personal theory on why humans creativity seems to be always so human.

And lastly its VERY IMPORTANT that you do this. Once you get a certain idea or thought that might work..remember to jot it down somewhere. From my experience..99.99% of the time I did not write it down or put into action right way never ended up happening! So Please do this last step!

Here are the key points…

Make your brain into a knowledge making machine by doing inward research. Think and use your imagination with high enthusiasm to generate new ideas and knowledge. Treat every thought with great value.

Set your standards higher! Don’t create work to seek fame or popularity! Don’t be a human creative. Be a Martian-Creative.

Don’t follow the crowd. Trust your intuition but not your natural human self. Go beyond that!

walk everyday a little taller and push your self to perfection.

For Every great idea or thought, JOT it down quickly! 99.99% of the ideas you don’t jot down or put into action right away..disappears into thin air to never be seen again.

Alright! here is our first article about creativity.

In a nutshell, being creative involves being able to think arbitrarily(a smart sounding word for randomly) with great hope that it will all turn out to be the best thing, art, book, blog entry, whatever ever in history.

Creativity is about recognizing connections between two or more elements and being able to see how they could function together.

Most of the time you just gotta have confidence in your ability and never give up when obstacles get in the way.

However with a certain formula to follow we can speed up our creative momentum for coming up with great ideas.

PART 1 - Quick Browse Method. a.k.a Scan and Collect a.k.a Research

Look for things that interest you the most. Sounds easy right? well it is!

There are reasons why you might be more interested in one subject then another because a special part of you somehow already knows what you would ultimately want to create.

Trust your liking and go with it. Don’t ever follow the crowd. There is a undeniable link between the creator and the creation. It really reflects who we are.

The quick browse method (a.k.a Research) is half intuitive(scan) and half analysis(collect).

Intuitive means to look for things that interest you. Read your favorite Children’s Nursery Rhyme Books! they can give you the sweet feeling of Nostalgia which can fuel your child-like imagination.

Analyzing is like thinking about how certain attributes or style which you researched could mold together as a finished product.

For a example I love the classic book ‘Cat in the Hat‘ by Dr Seuss. It was a masterpiece. It was produced in response to the national reading level problems. He didn’t just create it out of no where, it was sort of like a chain effect to the national academic reading problem.

Here is a famous quote you should all have memorized by now…if you don’t.. do it now!

Creativity is undetected plagiarism. - Stravinsky

Next time you see someone else’s amazing-artwork-that-makes-your-art-look-crappy don’t feel down. Like they say..there is always a bigger fish. (memorize that one too)

Plagiarism is when you copy someone else’s work as your own.

Creativity is like taking a step further where you unscramble and take many different puzzle pieces and put it together in a way so that it creates a new picture.

Thats all they ever did a bit better then you. I guarantee 99.99999% of the artists got their motivation or method of doing things from..”somewhere”..probably nature if you can’t find it on Google.

Lets do a mini exercise here and recap.

Right now as I write this I have in front of me a drink bottle, a small speaker attached to the head of an old desk lamp so that you can adjust the direction of the speaker. So I have one object which I have already invented and I also have a drink bottle on my right hand side. How can we invent something out of the two? I’ll give you few seconds to think about this..

Got an idea yet? I have one already! I’ll tell you! its pretty silly and in reality it could even be pretty dangerous..but its just an example.. To me the first two attributes which interested me the most was sound and survival. The speaker is an output of sound energy. Drink bottles are also similar but it gives you water. Why..you could make a sound drink bottle! where the lip of the mouth piece for drinking out of it triggers sound..it could be a sound effect of a refreshing waterfall which could make people drink water more since its fun to hear the sound! and give it flexibility so that you could drink it at different angles to trigger off new sounds…and voila! just like that is another invention idea and all I did was I looked for attributes that interested me the most. Sound and water.

So the bottom line is if you wish to impress people with something totally new with consistent productivity, it involves diving deep in the possibility of connections..or being able to synergize well..or to browse quickly at the many resources available and filter out to take only the things that matter to YOU the most. The greater your ability to scan and collect quickly the more productive you will become.

Thats all for part 1, next in part 2 I will tell you another way to be just as productive and creative instantly. Until then keep thinking hard and have fun!

Summarized:

Being creative involves being able to think arbitrarily with great hope that it will all turn out to be the best thing ever.

The greater your ability to scan and collect quickly the more productive you will become.

Creativity is like unscrambling and taking many different puzzle pieces and putting it together in a way so that it creates a new picture.

The quick browse method (a.k.a Research) is half intuitive(scan) and half analysis(collect).

Intuitive means to look for things that interest you.

Analyzing is like thinking about how certain attributes or style which you researched could mold together as a finished product.

Trust your intuition and go with it. Don’t ever follow the crowd. There is an undeniable link between the creator and the creation. It really reflects who we are.
